Vegan french toast is a classic Sunday morning breakfast choice. This vegan recipe is enlivened with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon.
– makes 6 slices
Ingredients
2 cups almond milk
4 Tbsp unbleached flour
3 teaspoons sugar
1-2 teaspoon cinnamon
⅛ tsp vanilla extract
6 slices of bread
Method
Mix almond milk, flour, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla to form a batter. The batter will be a little lumpy, that is ok.
In large skillet melt 1 Tbsp vegan butter. Dip bread and place in skillet.
Cook 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Sprinkle with castor sugar, fresh berries & natural maple syrup.
Garnish with vegan whipped cream and enjoy!
