Spicy roasted chickpeas are better than popcorn. Make this snack in advance and serve it up for your family to snack on while watching a movie. Very easy to make, plus you can add any seasoning you feel like.
1 can chickpeas
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp minced garlic
½ tsp red pepper flakes
¼ tsp sea salt
¼ tsp ground black pepper
Preheat oven to 220° C.
Drain and rinse chickpeas. Pat dry with a paper towel. In a large bowl, toss chickpeas with olive oil to coat.
Add garlic, red pepper flakes, sea salt and black pepper and toss together. Spread the seasoned chickpeas onto a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
Remove baking sheet from oven and turn chickpeas to prevent them from burning on one side. Return baking sheet to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
A word of warning: they are pretty addictive!
