Do you love cheese and biscuits? Here is the easiest recipe you could imagine for a firm white cheese, that delicately combines sweet, savoury and tangy flavours. It will take you less than 10 minutes to make and will be ready to eat the next day.
300 ml water
2 tsp agar agar powder
100 g cashew nuts
12 g nutritional yeast flakes
3 Tbsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp tahini
1-2 tsp onion granules
1-2 tsp mustard powder
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp garlic granules
Boil the water and sprinkle in the agar agar powder.
Stir and simmer for about 3 minutes. Place in a food processor together with the remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth. Place in a silicone mold.
Chill in the fridge overnight. Remove from the mold and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Thinly slice and enjoy with pickles on flax crackers. Or add thicker slices, lettuce and tomato to a dark health bread, sprinkled with freshly ground pepper and sea salt.
