This is a delicious sandwich, which will have even the most sceptical omnivore wondering how you did it! Great for the new vegan, who is missing their old favourite snacks.
– makes 1 sandwich
1 Fry’s Chicken-Style Burger patty
2 slices whole wheat bread
¼ cup vegan mayonnaise
½ tsp Dijon mustard
¼ tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Toast the bread. In a small bowl gently mash the chicken-style patty with a fork. In a separate bowl, combine the mayonnaise, mustard, garlic, salt and pepper. Next add the chicken-style patty and mix till well combined.
Spread the mayo mixture over one slice of bread. Top with the remaining slice of bread and cut in half cross-ways.
Pack this tangy treat for your lunch on the run, or serve to hungry kids just back from school.
