Essential Early Morning Green Smoothie

This essential mix is the best way to start your day. Every day. The preparation is simple and quick for those of you who usually don’t make time for breakfast.

This green smoothie combines daily essentials: ground flax seeds, wheat grass powder and  vegan protein powder with banana.

Ingredients

1 tsp The Real Thing Wheat Grass Powder
1 scoop Vegan Protein Powder
30 g ground flax/chia seeds
1 banana
300 ml water or fruit juice

Method

Peel banana and gently mash with a fork against the inside of your mug.
Add the dry ingredients.

Quick Tip: Use a coffee grinder to grind your whole bag of flax/chia seeds and place in a tupperware in the freezer for when you need them. This is far more convenient than grinding a tablespoon every day.

Mix together into a fluffy paste. Add a little water, mix until well combined. Add the rest of the water or fruit juice while mixing.

Leave, covered in the fridge for 10 minutes to cool and soak while you get dressed, so that it is ready for you as you head out the door. Give it a quick stir and drink.
